ATSG CONFIRMED FIX - SEPTEMBER 2024
2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
Complaint: Dash Lights operate erratically and sets code P0706.
Cause: Clips that attach the range sensor to the rooster comb break and allow the switch contact points
to move out of position.
Correction: Replace the range sensor.

Additional Notes: Customer stated that the vehicle suddenly had this problem. During diagnosis the
shop could see the switches on the scan tool operate erratically and not match the rationality chart so
they checked the linkage which appeared to be good. They removed the side pan and saw the switch
was loose and moving from the rooster comb. Ater replacing the sensor the problem was corrected.
