Cause: Transmission range sensor leaking.
Correction: Replace the range sensor.
Part numbers related to the repair: AE8Z-7F293-A
Year Make and Model of the Vehicle: 2016 Ford Focus

Additional Notes: The vehicle was taken to a repair shop, and they replaced the axle seal twice, kept showing a leak in the axle area. Was taken to a transmission shop and they checked it and found that the leak was coming from the transmission range sensor, fluid was leaking past the connector terminals and the way it was leaking down the transmission it did appear as if the axle was leaking.
