ATSG CONFIRMED FIX - OCTOBER 2024
2019 Lincoln Navigator 10R80
Complaint: After installing Ford remanufactured transmission, it would not engage park and would set code P07E4.
Cause: When the manufacturers send these units that are drive by wire, they are sent with the override lever bolted in the neutral position.
Correction: Remove the bolt and move the lever to the park position and reinstall the bolt. Check the photos below for bolt positions

Additional Notes: These vehicles come with regular cable operated shifters and some are the drive by wire type with no shift cable. These all have an override lever to be able to put the vehicle in neutral if battery is dead or has wiring issues. Additional notes: when R&R is being performed, it is better to put the transmission in the override position for easier removal and install.
