2015 Chrysler Town & Country 62TE
Complaint: No Move, setting codes P0731 and P0721
Cause: Underdrive Center Shaft and Transfer gear splines fretting.
Correction: Replace the shaft and transfer gear.
Part numbers related to the repair: Either must replace with used parts as Dodge only sells it as a complete compounder assembly.

Additional Notes: This complaint started suddenly. During initial scanner checks the input speed sensor showed RPM while in park. When put into gear the input speed sensor still showed RPM, however you could feel something engaged. Pulled unit to check internally and during inspection when starting to remove the transfer gear retaining nut you could see the gear wanting to turn as well. Once it was removed you could see that the splines were worn, replacement of these parts fixed the complaint, check the attachment photos of damaged parts.
