2019 Ford Escape 2.0L 6F35


Complaint: Pump making noise when in gear and poor acceleration.

Cause: Stripped splines on the stator support.

Correction: Replace the transmission pump assembly.

Additional Notes: The poor acceleration was due to the converter stator not being able to redirect fluid into the turbine which is what makes the converter able to multiply torque during takeoff. The one-way clutch was not locked. Also, the noise was due to the worn splines on the pump stator support.
