Complaint: Code P0871 set when placed in drive after installing reman transmission
Cause: #4 check ball in the wrong location.
Correction: Install #4 check ball in the correct location.

Additional Notes: On the 2019-up unit the check ball is in a different location. The tech mistakenly placed the check ball in the location of the 2019-down unit. When the transmission was placed into drive with the number 4 check ball in the wrong location it was allowing the main line pressure to close the OD pressure switch which caused the P0871 code to set. Check the attachments below that show the incorrect and correct locations of the check ball.
